What is Self-Awareness?

Socrates said “Know Thyself”. Self-Awareness is the ability to know oneself deeply and act from that knowledge.  It includes being clear about what we do well, what motivates us and what upsets us. It includes being able to see ourselves as an outsider would see us and recognizing triggers and emotions as they arise so we can manage them.

One of my favorite quotes is from Lao Tzu. “Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power”. The below are a few links to resources you might find useful.
